A credit is the unit runs are priced in — on Starter, one credit is one dollar, and the run prices are fixed: 50 credits for a premium on-page blueprint, 25 for standard on-page, 15 for a premium guest-post, 5 for a standard guest-post. The price is always shown before you start a run.

Yes. Credits stay usable for 12 months from the month they're granted, as long as your subscription is active. On yearly plans that keep renewing, credits stay good for 2 years.
